How to disable Taskbar Previews in Firefox for Windows 7

From few days, I’ve been using firefox’s latest alpha build (can be downloaded from here) and one thing I dont like is, Taskbar preview feature for Windows7. Everytime I open more than one tab, it confuses me with multiple windows opened if I see at the taskbar.. It looks like this,

tmp6

So, I wanted to remove this feature.. Doing some debugging, I found following option solves the issue..

  • Go to about:config in firefox
  • Search for property named, “browser.taskbar.previews.enable” and set it to false (also shown below)

tmp7

That’s it! Stay tuned..
